I retired from the Army after 32 years in uniform with deployments to Bosnia, Iraq, and Afghanistan. I'm also retired from the local Sheriff's Office, so finally I am now able devote my full attention to what I love. I teach a week-long class in electric guitar building twice annually at oldest and largest folk art school in America, the John Campbell Folk School. Living in the mountains of beautiful Black Mountain, NC, I'm a lifelong woodworker with an artistic eye and attention to detail, and I'm committed to making the finest instruments possible.

This US Flag design with 19 stars was proposed for use, but never adopted as our Union grew from 15 to 20 states in 1818.
19 Stars is reminiscent of our home in the Black Mountains of western North Carolina.
